I don’t have much time to elaborate on that but let’s put it this way.I haven’t blogged for like ever right?Well that’s because I don’t have my laptop back yet.I took it in to Circuit City on June 8th, 2005 and if you notice, the last time I made an entry was on June 6th, 2005.Coincidence I think not.I will have my revenge on the bastards by recruiting all of my friends to boycott them.

    CIRCUIT CITY = PURE EVIL

I’m so freakin angry you have no idea.I’ve wasted so many minutes on the phone with different people and they made me so angry that I actually started to cry.My dad told me to go in and start breaking things.I would totally head straight to the big screen tv’s and just shove them on the floor, but as I explained to him; I’d end up in jail.He offered to bail me out though. That was awfully thoughtful of him.Well, I’m at work and it’s way passed time to go home.Talk to you all later and I hope that all is well.

    BOOOOOOO CIRCUIT CITY!!!

I like the way Pete’s friends think.Yes “Die, Circuit City, Die” indeed.

You gotta check out this blog about how Circuit City is the Devil http://jkorzman.tripod.com/ccity.html

    Here's an excerpt:

    The Devil's Plaything

Well I didn't always think that circuit city sucked, but within the last 2 weeks i've come to the overwhelming conclusion that circuit city was put on this earth by the devil to con honest people out of their hard earned money. The only thing that i haven't figured out is why the devil needs money.

It started out innocently enough. I needed a microwave. Since at that time there was only one electronics store in the area I went there. This store was Circuit City. Well, I found a microwave after 27.92 minutes of the saleman saying "this one is really good..." for every one I looked at. I eventually decided on a pretty cool microwave. Then as I was about to pay for it he added in the "extended warrenty is really good, we'll repair or replace it if anything goes wrong." It wasn't THAT expensive so i bought it. The evil web of lies and deceit begins...

So honestly I thought that I was the only one, but this guy feels my pain.  I can tell in his closing argument…..

Well as a final note before I continue to live out this nightmare of calling corporate, then the store, then corporate, I ask that you never ever ever go to Circuit City to buy anything ever. Go to one of their competitors and get better service and better prices...

I think we need to start a support group oh yeah and you should call my phone and listen to my voicemail.  I recorded it before I even found this guys story.

  • So, with all of the time I spend watching paint dry, I have discovered that I have way too much time to just think.  My most recent thoughts revolve around a rather maddening subject.

    LOVE

I mean really!!! Falling in love has to be one of the most tormenting things a person will ever experience by far.  When it comes right down to it love sucks for a multitude of reasons.  The one that annoys me the most (being a scientist and all) is that you really can't explain it.  From this observation a string of other problems arise.  Being that you can't explain it you therefore can't predict it.  When you fall in love it is just something that you suddenly realize.  I really don't want to hear about all of that cliché Cupid crap but the idea of getting shot by an arrow is kind of a good metaphor.

One minute you're living your life as you think you should be and then out of nowhere this notion of love changes the way you think.  Your brain short circuits or something and suddenly everything you see, every song you hear, the entire world that surrounds you is suddenly a reminder of the person you’ve fallen for.  You can’t get them out of your head no matter what.  The only way to stop thinking of them is to be with them.  Now admit it, you’ve been there before and it drives you nuts when all you can think about is them.  No work can be properly completed in a timely manner.  You become handicapped by thoughts of someone else.

                        Image Preview

So once you've come to the conclusion that you are in love and you actually admit it to not only yourself (HUGE deal) but other people as well, (not necessarily the one you're in love with if you do that you're skipping a step) and then all of the doubts start to haunt you.  What if they don’t feel the same?  What if you tell them and they laugh at you or even worse, break your now fragile and extremely vulnerable heart?  So you decide to just pretend that you don’t feel that way because, well maybe you’re not really in love.  There has to be another explanation, right?  You begin to torture yourself because the more you deny the way you feel, the more you think about that person, and the more you start to analyze every little thing that happens between the tow of you.  I hate to break it to you, but (here’s that really annoying part about love) THERE IS NO EXPLANATION FOR LOVE!!!  Therefore you’re not gonna find a better explanation.

Once you’ve reached the point where you have admitted that you are in love, you’re screwed.  Love already has you in its clutches.  There are no rules, no explanations, and there is nothing more confusing as a result of the previous two points.  But at the same time as all of this annoying, completely maddening stuff is going on (and this is extremely frustrating as well), you wouldn’t trade that feeling for the world.

Sure you doubt yourself, but at the same time you get this rush that you can’t find anywhere else.  You know, that whole butterflies in your stomach type thing.  You can’t get anything accomplished because you only have one thing on your mind, but you have the biggest grin on your face and you can’t stop smiling.  Falling in love is definitely one of the scariest thing you can ever do because you open yourself up to another person and there is the chance that they will hurt you, but that’s where your friends come into play.  They’re always going to be there, but if you don’t take that risk, you don’t get to be driven insane by that one person (I mean that in the can’t stop smiling, butterflies kind of insane).

Well there’s my rant for the night I guess.  I hope that all is well with you guys and I will chat with you shortly I hope.  For now, it is time for me to get some sleep as I can now see that the sun is up, but I will leave you with a quote:

"The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being.
His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks if
he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and no other  inspiration."

  • Sleep deprived ramblings by alykat

Well it has once again been way too long since my last update.  Not that much has really happened.  I cut my hair off, but I updated my pic awhile back to show it to you guys so…..I’m done with school for the summer and I got my B, so that’s good.  I’m still working for the Department of Transportation as an EPSA II, which is where the sleep deprivation part comes into play and *dun-da-dah* is where my rant will begin.

    Night Work & Retarded Bosses

So I’ve been supervising this epoxy crew (the guys that paint the stripes on the road) and there are certain highways that require we work at night. (Yes, I know what you’re thinking, and I do in fact get paid to watch paint dry).  So we are limited to certain hours on the roadway which are 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM and not the greatest hours to work.  I just got used to waking up early in the morning and now that is out the window.

I am having a hard time adjusting to the switch because I can’t sleep during the day for a couple reasons (my dad’s golf buddies keep calling, my dog keeps getting me up for work, I don’t have A.C. and my house is really hot…).  Oh and the fun part is that I haven’t been eating because well, I have lost track of what day it is.  Well this morning I was having trouble falling asleep (I mean come on, the suns up) and just as I was drifting off to sleep I get a phone call from one of my bosses…

Ummmmm….Yeah.  I’m gonna need that paperwork for the days you observed through May 15th.  If you could get that up to Greeley A.S.A.P. that would be great.

    office-space.jpg

How annoying is that.  I mean I was up in Greeley on Friday and I was working days at the time, why on Earth wouldn’t you have asked for it then rather than waking me up to make me drive 3 hours (roundtrip) and play in rush hour traffic.  I mean come on!!!  Well my battery is about to die and I’m drifting into delirium so I’ll just have to add more later.  Hope all is well with you guys

  • Hey there

So once again it's been awhile since my last quality entry.  I dodn't have a whole lot of time right now because I just got done wit an exam in Cell and Molecular Biology and now I'm waiting to go back to lecture.

    Anatomy of the Animal Cell

So this in fact will be more of a quick hello with a pretty picture containing really big words.

Things are going great though .  I'm super broke (I only have $5 for the time being and that is gas money so that I can go see Jon tonight).  I'll be getting paid soon, but since I just switched jobs I have that delay in paycheck.  I should get paid on Friday though, but that doesn't mean I'll be going to Vegas anytime soon.  I hope to get back in the black by the end of the summer so that maybe over the winter we can all meet up in Sin City for some debauchery, or maybe a trip out to LA since I heard I might be the last of the Coloradans in the near future .  Either way, you all have to be in Denver in December sometime.  Everything is right on track and i will actually be graduating then .  Becky (my little sister) will graduate from Cal State Northridge as well so there will be a huge party at my house.  Just an advanced warning/heads up for everybody

Well, back to class, hope you all have a FABU day.  TTYL
